We found Safety Restore on ebay and needed all 4 of our Audi seatbelts re-set.  Safety Restore showed on Ebay that each seat belt would be $59 and we put in our specific vehicle to verify that was the correct price and they could repair the seat belts.  We sent the belts in and the guaranteed turnaround time was 24 hours.  This was April 11, 2013.  We did not get our seat belts back for over 2 weeks.  This alone is very frustrating because this made our vehicle not driveable for all that time with no seat belts (vehicle had been in an accident).  By the way, it is now May 20 and vehicle is still not driveable......

After filing a complaint with Ebay about the extended length of time it was taking to get our belts returned to us, they said they were waiting on parts and that they would ship out by that Friday.  We then received a notice from teh company saying we would have to pay an addtional $40/seat belt (total of $160 additional) because they were dual stage seat belts.  After talking to the company we determined we had to choice because they had our seat belts and were holding us up to get our vehicle back on the road.  I tried paying that on ebay but they said that we would have to pay them directly into their paypal account, which we did.  We received them the following Friday.

The seat belts were reinstalled into the vehicle but the codes would still not reset on the vehicle.  We paid several people to try to determine what the problem was with the codes and even installed additional (expensive) parts to try to correct the problem.  Finally it was determined that the seat belts had never been reset.

We tried to get in touch with the company but only get voice mail saying they are remodeling but cannot leave a message.

DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THIS COMPANY.  IT IS A FRAUD!

This customer has ignored very easy-to-understand directions (created in response to thousands of customers) who voted for how the description page should look like. This includes the simple warning that the listing is not compatible with DUAL-STAGE seat belts. A dual-stage seat belt, is a seat belt that is equipped with 2 (dual) charges. This means that the parts alone cost twice as much to obtain from the manufacturer, and the labor cost associated with them. Regardless of the description, the customer sent in the seat belts. As soon as we received them, we have contacted them to explain the situation. We offered to provide a full refund and send the items back, or for an additional cost carry our the repairs. The buyer agreed to pay the additional cost.

The DUAL-STAGE seat belts were repaired, tested, and shipped back to the buyer.

The buyer states that the seat belts were not properly reset, and that there were codes generated by them. You must understand that these codes are generated by the MODULE, and there is nothing to reset within the SEAT BELTS.

We apologize about the unpleasant experience you had.

Sincerely,
James Conway, Jr.
