Safeway Home Delivery Buyer Beware of Extra Charges, Internet

Because of limited mobility, for several years I used Safeway Home Delivery service.  This was truly great for me.  Didn't have many mistakes.

However one day I was ordering online and noticed some sizable increases in prices.  My curiousity was piqued.  So I drove to the store with a list of products and their prices that I was going to order online.  I jumped only a motorized cart and started my investigation.

I noted the store prices for each item on the list.  This is what I discovered:

All items listed in weekly ad were same price.

All other items were approximately 10% less in the store.

So, we handicapped people and/or shutins are not only paying the delivery fee for the service, but we are paying a premium on all items.  I asked the store manager about this and he stated that should not be the case.  I went hope and emailed the customer service department inquiring of this practice but never heard a word from them......So Safeway you lost a long and loyal customer!
