i was in a accident with someone that is i insured with safeway ins the 3-tickets were given to the driver 1.owi 2.inproper backing 3.no drivers lic.the insured was in the car she was to drunk to drive safeway in dening my claim saying the driver was not on her insurance policy to drive the car.
the accident was sept 18 the driver was brought to jail.

As much as I hate for anyone to have to use their insurance to cover something they did not do, I suspect that this person was not legally covered to drive anything since the person did not have a valid driver's license. I was under the impression that if you had to use the uninsured motorist's coverage on your policy that it could affect your insurance rates as much as if you had caused the accident yourself. You might find out if this person owned a vehicle and, if so, if there was valid insurance on that particular vehicle. My auto insurance covers me in someone else's vehicle as long my vehicle is parked at the time.

If the Insurance company is telling you the other driver was not insured, Your damages would be
covered by uninsured motorists insurance. Most
insurance poilcies (Even if you buy liability only) Automatically include this insurance.
You pay about $15.00 every 6 months for it.
Check to see if you have this coverage, if you
do the other drivers insurance sitiuation does not matter.
