Complaint Review: SAFEWAY INSURANCE - OAK BROOK MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY

I was also hit by an insured motorist of SAFEWAY INSURANCE. In the beginning Safeway refused to take responsibility for their insured neglience. They gave me the run around, stated they couldn't get a statement from their insured, then they claimed the insured refused to bring his car in to be looked at. I spoke with the insured and he stated that was not the case. finally that was resolved, SAFEWAY INSURANCE still refused to pay the claim. Appr. thirty days later they sent me a pay that did not cover a good half of the damages. They said if I put the car in the shop and other damages were discovered they would pay the claim, not so. They lie, lie bad , I had my car in the shop and their appraiser took his time appraising the car, then he prolonged the repairs by disputing the damages, finally refusing to have the car repaired properly. I had a rental car they approved for 3 days but the inside and outside appraiser delayed returning calls. The rental car had to be paid out of my pocket but let me remind you they prolonged the process. Finally I removed my car from the body shop without repairs due to the fact that they refused to pay the claim. I returned the rental car after the 9 days of unecessary problems. I advise anyone who get hit by SAFEWAY INSURANCE clients to: 1 call the police for a police report. 2 have the appraiser to notate all the damages and get a copy 3 do not put your car in the shop without and open end rental agreement, meaning not limited to a 2-3 day rental agreement. YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE STUCK WITH THE RENTAL BILL. 4 DO NOT TAKE TOM MATTHEW, DEBBIE CLARK, and JIM MONTGOMERY at their word because speaking from my past experience they are not trust worthy at all.
