Safeway is just as bad as Albertsons. If they keep this up, they'll likely have the same problems as them and hopefully go out of business.

No doubt the price of eggs and other commodities keep going up, and I realize it's an unfortunate thing we face today. However, this is ridiculous.

I went to Safeway and they had an 18-pack of Lucerne Extra Large eggs for $6.19 as their regular price. With the savings card they take off $2.60. Net price $3.59. This is not a fair price to state as their regular price.

They also had an 18-pack of Lucerne Large eggs for $5.99 as their regular price. With the savings card they give you one free.

Come on. What a hoax. A sham. I've seen 18-packs going for $3.50 lately, which is still atrocious, but doubling the price to make you think you're saving money?

Safeway has lost me as a customer.
