We lived here 1 day short of 9 months. We moved here because they took Great Danes. We signed a one year lease and told them that we were building a home and this was temporary. They said that it was all fine.
We gave our 30 day notice and that was all fine. Upon turning in our keys, we were told we owed $1500 for a broken lease fee. We were willing to pay a fee but we thought $1500 was a little much. So we asked for the owners phone number. We called him immediately and never heard back.

We assumed because we were such good tenants that they forgave the broken lease fee or that a bill was on its way in the mail. Wrong. Today we get a call from a collection agency! The man literally said "I do not know why I am calling you because they say here they never contacted you. I will not put this on your credit and send you the bill."

We promptly called the apartment complex and there was no answer. We then left them an email asking why they did this to us. No answer to that either. We have very good credit and this is highly irritating. We will pay the fee but they did not even have the dcency to send us a bill, call, email, or anything before sending us to collections. We ALWAYS paid our rent ahead of time and the apartment was left in good shape. What a complete rip-off. Do not rent here!
