I received a letter today from saint matthew's churches. The envelope said that "two homes are about to be blessed..." "Yours First!" and "then it must go to another dear friend".The envelope contained a paper prayer rug and a short ritual to complete and finish within twenty-four hours because the prayer rug and the accompaning letter and flyer had to be "out of the house" tomorrow morning. A list of prayer requests was contained in the letter and a check mark could be placed in the requests that you would like to have prayer for.
This type of scam plays on peoples emotions and religious superstitions. I can see that it could cause emotional problems for people who might be taken in by it. With the internet and the many people out there wanting our money, I have become accustomed to checking things out that I am not famaliar with. I could not find a website under their name and found the site name in one of the other reporters summary. I do believe in the power of prayer but I think that the only prayer the consumer would get from this group might be, "Yea Lord, keep the money rolling in" or something to that effect. Hope this helps!
