Saint Matthew's Churches chain letters; prayer rugs in exchange for "blessings" like cash; fraudulent misrepresentation; preying on people's frailities ripoff Tulsa Oklahoma
Shame on Saint Matthews "Churches" for using a chain letter to prey on people's fears, frailities, hopes and sincere prayer requests in an obvious attempt to scare them into returning the "sacred" paper prayer "rug" along with a check. No real church would violate someone's faith in this way.
Saint Matthew's Church is an absolute fraud and interestingly, when I googled this alleged church, the results were nothing but links to negative feedback -- the very same outrage I experienced when I read the contents of what was mailed to me. This is the worst kind of scam that can be committed against people of faith.
The chain letter (which was obvious from the envelope I received today) was filled with false promises, veiled threats if the letter wasn't returned to them immediately, and fear mongering.
Interestingly enough, they hide themselves behind a post office box, and nowhere in all the paperwork they sent do they provide a physical address, phone or fax number (although I did find they do have a website when I used the Ask search engine).
Whoever is behind this blantant fraud should be rooted out and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
The people I pray for are the ones who have been taken in by these phonies.
