Saint Matthews Churches Or Prayer By Letters - Tulsa Oklahoma Company Preys on Peoples Faith, using Jesus Christ and promising miracles Ripoff Tulsa Oklahoma
I too have received letters from Saint Matthews Churches or Prayers By Letters and unfortunately I actually sent them $24.00.
The next letter I received was just like the last, but contained holy oil and talk about putting their prayer page under your pillow - NOT! I don't remember reading anywhere in the bible where any of Jesus disciples were told to do that and they would be blessed, so I didn't respond, but I did keep the holy oil to perhaps annoint someone for real with.
The most current letter I received (today) they sent me a package of holy annointed salt which I was to place on my money for 10 minutes, then they wanted me to send them money with the empty salt packet. I also noticed that the amount of money they ask for seems to go up with each letter. I understand that Gods people are the salt of the earth, but I believe that the Lord gave us each the exact amount of salt we needed to exist.
Finally, one more note. Had I noticed with the first letter that their so-called church could only be contacted by sending something back to a P.O. Box, I would never have responded. Every church I know of has a street address and so one of the first signs of this type of scam is a P.O. Box for a return address.
On closing, I just ask that people beware of receiving anything through the mail asking for money for a church unless you know that the church is a well-established church, one you have been fed from or one the Lord has placed on your heart to deal with. Check those envelopes for the return address...if it is a P.O. Box, head directly to your shredder.
