Complaint Review: Saks Off in Orange Block

 I received a President's Day Extra 25% Off the Clearance Item flyer by mail.  The President's day extra off event is for the President's day weekend.

I went to the store on Thursday and found out it did not start till Friday.  I came back on Saturday to purchase clearance items in order to get the extra 25% off.  However at the checkout counter, I was told that 25% off applies only to secondary price reduction clearance items only and not the first price reduction clearance items.   I called the manager and she said the same thing (with no emotions nor sympathy on her face mind you).  When I complained, the manager said I will tell the management.  That's it.  

I even showed her the Extra 25% off flyer.  The flyer nowhere indidcated secondary price reduction items.  This was an intentional misleading and even a calculated deception.  Why?  because of the flyer, I ended up going to the shop and wasted my time shopping for items.  

I ended up buying non-clearance items but the flyer ended up getting me in the door.  Because of the time I spent shopping for items, I still shopped there.  However, this was a pure deception.  BUYERS BEWARE!  I demand explanation from the SAKS OFF management!!!

P.S.  I should have not purchased the items and walked out.  Now that I think of it, I will return the items and never shop there.  I actually walked over to the Neiman Marcus Last Call next door which had a same sign of extra off.  They had no problem applying extra off to their ALL clearance items!
