Complaint Review: Salon Tau and Spa

I have shopped around for a stylist in Colorado for a little over a year. I moved to Colorado for college and the stylist I found moved to Texas. I ended up contacting Salon TaU and Spa, because the price was within the price range for a college student.

So I've heard, "you get what you pay for" and this applies to the salon. The salon is not in the best area....Chanel, the owner shows up 30 minutes late. She strolls into the salon without a care in the world, and gives a half apology. My gut tells me to leave but I wait because I had plans to have my hair done. Big mistake...

I asked her to sew my hair on a net, because I am not natural, and like my hair straight before a weave. I cannot wear virgin hair and have nappy edges like half the chicks in Colorado. That isn't cute. Well Chanel ignores my request...she charged me for a net but did not add a net to my hair. The weave started to pull on my freshly relaxed hair. The pain became unbearable so I had to remove the weave two days later. 

I email Chanel to let her know I no longer need an appointment. She wanted me to come back in a month to tighten the weave. I had no choice but to remove the weave as well, because you could see the braid on top of my head. I had some leave out.

Chanel emails me back a day later and decides to go all "sista girl" in her email. Telling me that it is not the Colorado stylist and it is my hair...excuse me. She sewed the weave into my head, and knew the braid was visable before I walked out of the salon. She tried to tell me my hair was thin...mind you I just received a relaxer, I have Lupus, and PCOS, but my hair is still strong and thick enough to hold a weave. Anyway, I did not value her opinion, but she ended up butt hurt because I told her the truth about her bad weave service and lack of respect for her clients time. 

Do not waste your money...out of state women go to Atlanta or LA like I have since moving to Colotado. The owner will mess up your hair then blame it on you. I have worn weaves for 10 years and know the difference between a good weave and bad weave. Chanel is a joke...trust me she only has 100 likes on Facebook compared to the other salons in Colorado.

Save your money and go to the Hair Masters, Winning Coffiures, Hair Your Way or Rumors. They at least show up on time and the weaves are alright for colorado weaves. Chanel never again...I had to put you on blast for disrespectful replies to paying customers.
