Complaint Review: SAM KELTON

SAM KELTONS MALICIOUS ARTICLES ON THE LIVE AT THE ZOO MUSIC FESTIVAL, MONARTO ZOO, SOUTH AUSTRALIA, APRIL 2009

AND AN ARTICLE WRITTEN DAYS AFTER THE EVENT ON PRODUCER HAL ABRAMSON WERE INTENTIONALLY MALICIOUS, INACCURATE AND UNTRUTHFUL.

THE JUST PLAIN STUPID KELTON REPORTING DESTROYED THE EVENT, THE EVENT'S  FUTURE AND HALS' REPUTATION IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA. WITH THIS BUM'S ATTITUDE AND VICIOUS PEN, LIVE AT THE ZOO COULD NEVER HAVE SUCCEEDED.

The people who attended LIVE AT THE ZOO said they had a great time with the 4 stages, 130 bands and 24 hour music. All created by Hal Abramson under super-pressurized conditions in just 79 days, under a completely dishonest and dysfunctional Peter Rowe, who hired him then ignored hom and screwed up everything he touched.

This fact that everyone had fun is reinforced by dozens of requests for another Live At The Zoo, which thanks to low-life, liar reporter Sam Kelton and his partner CON ARTIST PETER D. ROWE of PARKSIDE, SA, Director of the now defunct Avalon Events, will never happen.

Sam Kelton got it wrong from the beginning, ignoring the true facts behind the scene. He was looking for a sensational story in a first time festival and reported negatively, over-inflating any operational problems at the event without regard for Hal's hard work to get the event to even happen. He scared a lot of customers away before the event even got started. Then continued to write blasting articles. We should have stuffed him in a rubbish can backstage when we had the chance, where he belongs.

After a week's worth of bombastic articles, once the event was over, it wasn't enough damage for the psychotic Kelton who stated his desire to write a positive spin article,  then lied again by writing an inaccurate and inflammatory article on Abramson's dealings with other incompetent, dishonest operators in the US. Abramson is either suing or planning lawsuits against the worst of them.

The fact is that Abramson is one of the most ethical and hard working producers in the festival business since 1975. His instructional concert and festival books have helped thousands of promoters worldwide revealing secrets in the industry. unfortunately, there is no hard and fast way to deal with lying, deceitful reporters.

Sam Kelton wrote his reckless and destructive articles without regard for the ramifications his false words would have. The truth would be known within a year. Now Peter Rowe will pay dearly.The Lord will make Kelton pay the rest of his life.

If Kelton wanted to tell the truth, he should have written something, anything about Peter Rowes actions and inactions, which reached into every aspect of the event, ripping it apart. Sam Kelton chose to blatantly protect Peter Rowe and

blame Abramson entirely.

Sam Kelton wrote nothing about the truth behind the owners dysfunction, not even mentioning Peter Rowes name in association with any problems whatsoever.

It is this kind of spurious reporting that forces young people to look for their information elsewhere than newspapers. Sam Kelton proves that we cannot trust newspaper reporters, in fact, they can destroy your life. Sam Kelton should be fired for

his destructive, malicious and incompetent behavior.

The Advertiser is just another lying supermarket tabloid printing rubbish to sell newspapers. No one we spoke to in the rest of the country had any respect for it. They said They are known to be a bad paper. Abramson said.

Sam Kelton never asked Abramson about his past projects, and showed he had no idea what he was talking about. He lied to Adelaide to wrongly pass blame solely onto Abramson.

The most ironic aspect of Sam Kelton protecting Peter Rowe from any publicly perceived incompetence, was that Peter Rowe fought Abramson frequently on advertising at all in the Tiser and the Sunday Mail . Peter Rowe argued that people dont read newspapers and that advertising in the Tiser was a waste. Abramson forced the print campaign through anyway. 

At one point Peter Rowe told Abramson to cancel the print contract so that he could rent a limo and have it painted. The funniest thing is that Peter and Avalon Events still have not paid the outstanding Advertiser bill for advertising, and Kelton seems to continue to protect his creepy friend.

Peter Rowe and his company Avalon Events are being prosecuted for breaches of the liquor licensing laws in light of problems at the event, near Murray Bridge, a year ago. and The licensing court heard there were significant breaches of the liquor act and substantial safety risks. ABC said.

Hal Abramson vindicated

Abramson was not even required to attend a 12 April, 2010 Liquor Board Violation hearing. The outcome of the hearing is that the Judge has Abramsons written commentary sent to the Police early on. The Police see Rowe as their target and accept Abramson's version of events, that he was calling the shots and that Abramson's role was severely compromised..The Judge has adjourned the matter for sentence until 28 April .Every indication is that the penalty will be pretty stiff.

In Abramsons debriefing he said "after my arrival, Rowe seriously misrepresented his resources and commitment to Live At The Zoo, this combined with his extreme inexperience, progressively declining cooperation, inability to heed advice and non-concern for adherence to contractual arrangements... Abramson said he "stayed knowing he was the only one who would see the project to the end. All other US and AU producers he spoke to at the time were saying theyd walk under such unacceptable conditions.

The judge will rule on a penalty against Peter Rowe soon.

Kelton will most probably ignore the truth and crawl into his hole.
