I have been a part of the Sam's Club/Discover Credit card 2% cashback on purchases program since 2005. My credit card was hacked June 3 in a Walmart store and when Discover replaced my card they sent me the 1% card,  I just thought they changed the colors. Rewards are earned January-December but my Sam's membership renewal is in May of everyyear. In the past several years they charged my Discover card the $100 fee every May but didn't this year( people have been complaining, but why weren't we notified of the change? ) When I was in a Sam's checkout line in September they said it was time to renew and charged me $40 but I just figured I'd already been charged the $100 and it was an increased fee.

After a couple months of inaccurate rewards, I decided to call to find out what the problem was.  They said I was no longer a "+" member and wouldn't pay me my money.  I have paid the additional $60 to earn my 2% but am currently out of almost $500 from June thru Oct.  that they refuse to pay.  I am switching to Visa & will use Sam's/Discover  in only the most dire situations.  They are losing a very good customer.  I would be happy to join a class action suit, If I am just a drop in the bucket, you can imagine the potential!!  I hate liars and cheaters!!!
