Ahhh the beauty of Ebay. I consider myself pretty smart but I got ripped off :) I was in the market for a used ambulance and this ad on Ebay caught my eye -

This was our back up truck and it is now on its rotation out. Great truck! Almost new STAR five rotor light bar, and two new federal signal LEDs mounted on the front of the box. All four tires are in great shape with lots of tread left! Truck comes with a ferno cot mount. Great little mini-mod. Still in-service, we are using this for football games and of course as a back up when we need it. Help us find a good home for this well disserving TVs

I sen t a deposit to Mr Kenneth Lock who said he was the "Captain" of the ambulance service.  I am in Nashville and he was in Indianapolis. I mentioned that I wanted to take the kids to Kentucky Kingdom. Oh sure he would deliver the truck there. We set up the deal. Now most reasonable folks would take the " still in service" as a functioning truck. . There are state standards for these trucks ...... the AC would have to work, it would have to stop, the alternator would have to work ...... Ha - think again. He drops the thing off and I look him in the eye and ask - does it have any mechanical problems ..... no, minor stuff - fire extengisher spill..... OK get the bill of sale - he doesnt have the title - in Indiana they hold it due to blah blah joint ownership with the hospital.  I metion the isnt working and as the sun sets I didnt notice there was no display on the digital dash. So he drives away and I get back into truck and pull out and when I hit the brakes NOTHING - I nearly hit two cars. I try calling and no answer - left message.  Have to get a hotel as then I notice there is no voltage on dash gauge.

So get to the hotel shut it off and it wont restart. Alternator bad. The heat and air dont work, rear heat and air broken, but in the morning I fill up the brake resevoir hook up jumper cables and charge the batteries to get it back to Nashville. Wow the breaks were not much better, in fact worse. So I go to the parts store to get a jack and lug wrench to see what could be the problem. I called him three or four times to talk to him - no answer on his phone or in his office. Ahhh - the rotors were so chewed up the calipers were frozen. NO pad left at all, metal on metal. Then the passenger side - it only has one pad and heres the best part - a pair of vice grips on the brake line preventing fluid from going to the wheel.  3:30 he finally calls back and I let him know I needed to return the truck to him due to the false claims ...... he said no way, buyer beware. I drove to Nashville with no brakes and a non functioning alternator.  Other things - passenger window broken, door locks dont open with key, multitude of electrical problems, power inverter removed ..... on and on - a junk box that I paid over book price for this thing because he assured me it was in top shape. hahahahahahah If this truck was in service someone should inspect the other trucks they are operating !!!!!   Kenneth Lock is a scam artist and I would advise anyone to steer clear of him in any type of vehicle purchase. I am looking into all my legal options now and any legal eagles that can help pls let me know.
