I purchased my Samsung HL67A750 TV in March 2009.  Recently, it developed the white dot problem caused by a known defect in the DMD chip.  It started with one dot and it's up to 10 dots in one week.  It is well documented that this is not an uncommon problem and a recall was issued for its repair to be made free of charge.

I made a service request on the Samsung website on 6/18/2015.  They called me and the lady told me it was not covered for a free repair under the recall or the warranty.

It's obviously the same defect I read about in the 100s of posts on the A/V Forum concerning this problem.

Whether or not my TV is covered is not the issue.  They know that this is a product defect and the right thing to do would be to repair it free of charge.  I am 62 years old and on social security disability and cannot afford $300 to fix it.  If this is not resolved, I certainly will never purchase another Samsung product again.
