Samsung Electronics America, Inc Won't repair/replace faulty LCD screen that was installed during a unrelated repair Ridgefield Park, New Jersey
Certain Samsung televisions are having faulty capacitors replaced free of charge under a global settlement.
Certain Samsung televisions have LCD panel display issues (won't be admitted to by Samsung and probably won't be replaced under a global settlement because a LCD screen costs alot more than a couple dollars worth of capacitors. )
My 52" Samsung LCD TV model LN-F5271F cost $2000 and had the capacitor problem repaired free of charge by their factory authorized repair company. During the repair, the LCD screen panel was damaged and pixel damage resulted. The repair tech called Samsung and they authorized a new LCD panel to be ordered and replaced free of charge.
Everything then worked fine and I was very satisfied.
However, this new LCD screen developed the dreaded, not admitted to, display problems . Samsung is of the belief that it is not their problem. My stand is that I would never have had my original screen replaced if not for the repair work done to correct their faulty capacitor repair issue. I got a screen with problems. If my original screen had gone bad after my warranty, that would have been my fault. But maybe my original screen was one of the good ones??????? They gave me a bad one.
I either want them to replace the LCD screen or give me a whole new similar model that maybe doesn't have bugs in it. Spending $2000 on a television should ensure quite a few years of trouble free viewing.
We are retired and not able to be dishing out this kind of money every couple years........

It is unreasonable for you to expect the warranty on the replacement LCD panel to be longer than the warranty on the TV.
