Thanks for the help "Nick, Hollywoood, California." Did you not get the clue that I already knew about samsungparts.com? OH the batter I ordered (as a backup) came in promptly. I eventually found a charger for it. The batter was delivered pomptly and the adapter was placed on backorder. Lucky for me the battery was delivered by UPS and I intercepted it at their hub point before it got delivered. Only, I thought it was the AC adpater.

The adapter, I can only guess (I got a tracking notice from DHL about "who" was shipping something!), was delived weeks later by DHL, who dropped it over a locked gate during the middle of the day. Guess what my dogs did to it? I found pieced of a DHL box in my front yard.

Immediately I notified DHL and Samsungparts via email....neither have replied to this date..02/18/2007 Three months after I bout the camcorder. As I've feared, from reading other consumer comments, the software that comes with it is totally useless with Windows XP...only! the most popular operating system used by Americans! (can't speak for other countries)

Word to the wise to anyone buying electronics. Check who makes it, makes component parts for it, or is affiliated with it in any way. If the name Samsung is indicated, you will have to purchase another one of what ever you paid for in the first place in order to get it to work...and I advise picking another brand. May work fine...till you need support.
