Samsung Rebate Denied - Rebates are a scam Nationwide

Home Depot advertisec a $600 rebate on a set of four Samsung appliances. Sent the rebate in immediately.  Got a response in 4 weeks - denied because "The retailer from your receipt was not a qualifying retailer for this offer"

I've seen a few other people say they got the same response for other items purchased from other vendors.  It seems Samsung has a few canned responses they send out as denials, and I got one of them.

I've also seen this kind of scam before (from TigerDirect) and am all too familiar with it.  Doubt I'll get my rebate, but at least HomeDepot has a good return policy! It sickens me that they've stooped this low.  I'll be avoiding Samsung items for the forseeable future.

Same Thing Happened to Me

I had the same experience with a Home Depot Appliance purchase for a Samsung SmartThings rebate. I sent the rebate forms and materials over several times and they used every excuse in the book. First it was the receipt from Home Depot wasn't correct, then it was missing a Serial Number, finally they just said it'd been to long and they couldn't open my case anymore. I sent my rebate in 3 times (the exact same way) and made photocopies so I know they receieved what they needed they just kept lying about it. They always say you'll get a response within 10 business days and you NEVER DO. I've called maybe 10 times and I no longer trust Samsung and will not buy any products from them ever again.
