samsung authorized repair center also known as RSI which is attached to the executive relations department which ECR will deny has horrible service..nothing but mexicans working there that dont speak anything english. and they dont know how to repair phones. phones always have to be sent in a minimum of 3 times before its fixed correctly..mine was sent in back in september of 2013 for the lcd cracking since they put the wrong screw in the wrong place and they replaced the screen after fighting with them. when i got it back since it had the new carrier logos on the lcd i didnt think to fully test the phone so i put it back in the box and used my other phone. a few days ago i gave this phone to a friend and activated it and the speakerphone mic wasnt working so we called samsung and set it up for warranty repair and when it got there they told me it had liquid damaged and sent me pictures..which i would upload but i dont know how to on here. the pictures look like hot glue gun residue not corrosion and they are satisified with their lazy answer so they wouldnt have to fix my phone that waas their fault. i emailed the president of the repair center and i will keep posting an update once i get a response. you can go to their website www.repairsvc.com and contact them directly.

have a nice day.

Moisture in TV?

Samsung is claiming the same sort of "moisture damage" happened to my flat-screen TV that is less than one year old.

The television was still under warranty, but Samsung says they will not honor the warranty because of "moisture damage".

The TV had been working fine, with no problems.  One day I was watching it, and it just went out -- just like that. It had not been moved, dropped, or had any liquid spilled on it since the day it was delivered.  I fail to see any way that a television that is just sitting on a TV stand in the room could possibly suffer any "moisture damage".

I think the problem is that Samsung just does not want to honor their warranties.  Now, I still owe 2 more payments on this set and I have to buy a new one to replace it.  You can bet it is not going to be another Samsung.

Litmis...

While it is unfortunate for you that this has accured, let me give you some information. There are three spots on a smartphone that have some form of Litmis paper to indicate that MOISTURE has invaded a phone. One on the battery, one just inside the battery cover, and one on the main board. What this means is that the LITMIS paper has been activated. It activates to MOISTURE not just water. So if you have EVER taken you phone outside on a VERY humid day, it will activate the litmis paper. If you have ever used your phone in the bathroom after a hot shower, this will ALSO activate the litmis paper. If ANY of these papers have been activated, they cannot continue with the repair. If the litmis paper has been activated then there is a very good chance that the moisture has invaded other parts of the phone making it BER. IS it very fair, not in MY opinion. But it is what it is.

SAMSUNG did not use the phone, YOU did. Because of that, when you send in a phone, THEY MUST CHECK THESE PAPERS. When YOU got YOUR phone, none of these papers would have been activated. Its ONLY through YOUR use of the device that would cause these Litmis paper to activate. What it REALLY sounds like to me, is that YOU just dont like what was told to you.

FYI: Little known FACT about the web. The web is considered to be a MEDIA OUTLET. As such, posts such as yours with slanderous and defaming text, falls into the VERY SAME CATAGORY as the PRINTED PUBLICATIONS. Because of this, your post could be used against you in a civil proceeding as proof of wrong doing on YOUR part. And If you think you are safe because you are doing this from the computer at home or work, think again. All it takes is a court order and they will have ALL YOUR personal information. Corporations are getting tired of having to defend themselves from the slings and arrows of the self-entitled American Consumer. So they are ACTIVELY going after those individuals who use the web to slander and ddefame. Good Luck if they go after YOU.
