Complaint Review: San Diego Health Alliance

San Diego Health Alliance is a methadone treatment clinic. It has been in San Diego County for a considerable time, and has three clinics. The clinic on Friars Road is the one that used to be on Lytton Street and Greyling Drive, and was forced to move from those locations due to its clientele. Its present location is hidden on Friars in a back office, where its patrons cannot be seen from the street. The customers that this SDHA clinic has are not its only problem, its staff and its lax attitude for patient confidentiality is also an issue. Many times SDHA has let persons unaffiliated with it physically enter its office and watch a patient take his or her methadone dose. This witnessing can be used to have that patient fired off of his or her job, and experience other types of community harassment. SDHA's problem with its customers can then be seen to be due, at least in part, with its faulty medical practices.
