We rented 'Isle of View' for $12,800 from Sandbridge Realty (www.sandbridge.com) last week. Our annual family vacation consists of 10 adults & 10 children. This was our 20th year vacationing as a group & we have never had such a horrible experience. When we arrived we were stunned, as the photos on their site for this home were nothing like what the home actually looked like. Under the home at the stairs entrance was a broken/rusty refridgerator & piles of trash. The home was filthy to say the least: broken glass on floor in kitchen, dirty kitchen counters, broken kitchen sink, filthy fridge/freezer interior, missing 2nd fridge, pee-stained toilets, stinky/soiled sofas, dirty walls, dirty bug stained windows, broken beds, hairy sinks/tubs, soiled & stained comforters with paper thin dirty pillows, stained/ stinky carpets with chunks of food everywhere, dirty & stained matress pads with used tissues, broken pooltable & foozeball table, overwhelming smell of mold/mildew, boogers all over the walls/door frames. The list goes on. We contacted Sandbridge Realty right away, they never offered to clean the home. The home was uninhabitable & we were forced to leave due to saftey/health concerns (children with asthma & allergies). Sandbridge Realty hired a company to come clean the home, it took the cleaning team two days stating "this home has not been cleaned in a long time". They also hired a company to come clean the exterior of the home. Sandbridge Realty did not removed the broken, rusty refridgerator from under the home until Wednesday. Sandbridge Realty never contacted us to state that the home was now clean & ready for us to return to. The manager of Sandbridge Realty admited that the house was dirty but stated that we did not give him enough time to clean & 'ionize' it. So when does $12,800 & a1st day 3pm check in translate to: $12,800 with a 4th day 3pm check in? When is it ever acceptable to take over half of a family vacation to make a paid for rental home habitable? Never. Unacceptable.

We have attempted to remove the above post; however, according to www.ripoffreport.com , once a comment is posted it is unable to be removed. Therefore, we would like it to be known that is our understanding since our previous comment, the new owners have spent considerable funds remedying the issues raised. Further, we were able to resolve our differences and it was our intention to remove the above post as we feel it no longer applies to this property.

After reading your review after a stay at Isle of View, we wanted to just point out the facts regarding your stay.  The refrigerator that you mention as "broken and rusty" was outside to be cleaned.  The previous guests had stored somethign in it that had an odor to it, so our housekeeping and maintenance staff took it outside and commerically cleaned it.  It was being placed back into the house to use.  Of the beds that are mentioned as "broken", there was one footboard that had an ornamental wood top piece missing from the previous week.  No mold or mildew found at the property - not in or around anything.  Sandbridge Realty did not have the opportunity to correct any of your issues, as the guests went to a different realty company and dropped off the keys to us on Sunday moirning.  Numerous Vacation Viewpoints from teh previous weeks of guests reported none of the issues you stated you found.  We sent our own cleaners in to clean the property on Monday, and cleaned the house after the guests one night stay.  We did not hire an outside cleaning company to do anything, nor was anyone there for two days.  If the guest was at a different house how could they know all this information?  On Monday our ceaning crew also had the carpets cleaned from a few minor spots.  As a company we stive to make sure every guest has the best vacation experience and we apologize their stay was less than expected.  However, the story told in the review is not the real story.
