Jack Santarelli of SanDino Home Solutions has been hired by us for a home remodeling project. Want to make it short and precise. Two months later we let him go fully aware that almost 1/2 project money might never be recovered by us and more money spent on litigation.

This is why: we believe that dishonest people should be stopped so they don't hurt more clients in the future. Also considering the scope of work involved and judging from initial work done we wanted to protect our home from further damage due to unskilled labor used.

* Inaccurate contract misrepresenting scope of work and dimention of final product. * Lack of payment schedule. Payments collected via invoices for work not yet performed. *Use of low grade materials contracted at premium price. * Lack of timelines, planning or supervision on the job. *Hiring of unskilled , illigal labor as subcontractors, resulting in extensive damage to property.

Most Importantly home owners read up on your state laws!!! Most of you don't know that if a contractor doesn't pay his subcontractors, which Mr. Santarelli is known for, you are legally bound to do so! If a contractor hires illigal immigrants, which is a case here, you also as home owner, even if not aware of it , can be liable under federal law!.

We failed to do our due deligence. We worked with many wonderfull contractors prior. I guess we got comfortable. Regardless, let our mistake be your guide. Don't hire SanDino Home Solutions.

Misleading because they owe money

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, March 19, 2012

This past customer is misleading whom ever chooses to read this report.  We have performed hundreds of projects and I guess having one or two customers that didn't agree with what their responsibilities were financially, will try to make our company look unprofessional.

In regards to the "lack of supervision", I don't believe we could have supervised the project any better by having our Project Manager physically perform work on the project, but I may be missing another opportunity do that task better?  We NEVER had an Illegal worker on site, they may have been Mexican by nationality, but that doesn't mean they were not legal to work, that is just a poor assumption by someone that wants to try an make our company look bad.

All work was detailed on separate line items for the client so they could see in great detail, each area of work to be performed and the cost associated with that work.  The Contract that this customer signed was reviewed over a period of days and again when we met to sign the contract, I read it to them line by line and article by article, they argreed and sign the contract to perform the work.  We proceed to have Building Plans drawn up, which they never paid for and proceeded to do some addititional work that did not intail building plans.  We did have some quality issues when doing some sheet rock and finishing work, we had to remove that worker and bring on another person to finish the project and make any work that was not quality, better.  We even worked on Thanksgiving morning on the approval of the customer to try and finish.

We installed wood floors, we had to remove baseboards to do so, and were going to replace at completion.  The wood floors had some gaps after settling that we were going to adjust and at that time we were let go and never paid.  The home owner wanted us to return to move forward on the entire project but stated he was not going to pay us until large portions of work are completed, we could not agree to pay for the work ourselves and run the risk of non payment again.  We never expected any payment from this customer for work that wasn't completed, we invoiced for work that was in process and payment was not due until completion and satisfaction.

I'll finish this by saying, if we were ripping this customer off, why did they try to have us come back and finish the work?  We felt that they were possibly spending too much money, the husband was being reasonable by the wife was not.  By contract, this customer still owes us money and this is the way they go about not paying.  We would gladly go back and take care of ANY issues they may have, as we were already doing, and they didn't allow us to complete, like the wood floors, but we would require payment since we've already compensated workers that did do the work and didn't on workers that were removed from the project because of poor quality.

Plenty of clients love our work and the services we offer and unfortunately, just like other businesses, we can't always please everyone, especially if they don't hold up to Contracts.

I do think that RipOff.com should get facts and the other persons story, before printing slanderous stories as this.  Other on line services did, and therefore this is not listed on other sites because they did research the situation and found it not credible to print.
