My husband and I moved our mobile home to Hillcrest Mobile Home Park, located in Asheville, NC. Sometimes it pulls up as Woodfin, NC. We are the only one that own our mobile home, all the others are owned my Sandra/ Sandy Leslie she lives in Davidson, NC. The park manager is James Carl Rash. My husband help remove the mobile home that was in the space we moved our home into. The deposit was waved for the help. We signed a 6 month lease. Carl Rash worked for my husband is how we found about the space for rent.
When we moved in and signed the lease, Carl Rash told us to never call Sandy Leslie with any issue, because she would just hang up. That all complaints should go through him. At the time, I thought nothing of that, because Carl informed me that this was a quiet and peaceful Park. Which turned out to be anything but true. The Woodfin police department is up here at least 2 times a week. Carl James Rash ( app 42 years old) gets drunk and starts trouble with EVERYONE on the hill. He always left us alone, because my husband was is boss. About 5 weeks ago, My husband had to fire Carl Rash from the company for selling pills to co workers. The day he got fired I call Sandy Leslie and explained to her that Carl Rash had just got fired and that I hoped that wouldnt effect our lease, which is up Jan 5th 2012. She said it would not, because we pay on time. We have city water and the bill go directly to Sandra Leslie and she sends a hand written one to us. The first month it was 165.00. Last month it was 110.00. We have a 2 bed room mobile home and it is just my husband and I here.!! I asked her today for a copy of my lease ( i never got one from Carl, who promised it would "be in the mail") She said she would send me it, but come Jan 1st, our lot rent was going up to 450.00 a month. I asked her why and she said that was her right. The mobile home that was here before was used as a storage, and she was making zero on it before we moved in. I feel like since my husband had to let Carl Rash go at work, the this is just down right vindictive. Carl Rash's criminal record is a mile long..no joke! Cocaine charges to dwi's. To breaking and entering. He gets drunk every night and plays his music loud. He chased his brother through the field with a knife 2 nights ago. I was scared to death. I would never rent a mobile home in this park, as things get fixed half way...just a quick fix. This place is up for sell and I would never suggest anyone buy it, because of the rep it has. It is on the market. Trillium properties has it listed.
So I suppose you are asking why we would stay. Well we are not going to at all, but finding a spot and moving it takes time. I am moving it, and I pray to God we can find a spot before the lease is up. Mu husband and I pay our bills, and on time, so even IF we have to stay past Jan 2012 we will pay the 450.00,and continue to pay a water bill that we never see. We will take the high road. Sandra/ Sandy Leslie and \Carl Rash are dirty slumlords and extremely vindictive. Oh did I mention that Carl Rash's Mobile home got shot up in July, because he rented a mobile home here and took 1st last and security deposit in cash, and then didnt let them move in? That is public knowledge through the Buncombe Count Sheriff Department.
