Complaint Review: Sanford Brown Institute - Ultrasound Program

If you have any complaints please contact CAAHEP one of their accrediting entities. http://www.caahep.org I found the school's information there and decided to obtain some information about the program - thinking that it was reputable. The representatives were reluctant to give me any information over the phone. I couldn't obtain when the next session started, what information would be covered during the program, or even how many courses were required. The rep talked me into coming into the office where I was told that I would probably do better by attending the medical assistant program first to become familiar with medical terminology that I would need and then after I complete the medical assistant program then I should try to get into the ultrasound program. I attended a tour of the facility and was able to look inside of two classrooms and did not see any type of equipment that would be used during the program. Then I was very taken aback when I found out how much the program cost just to obtain a certificate!!! What a total disappointment. I think I may just go the community college route.
