This Bank is nothing but Sheisters! I had to file a tax return for my deceased uncle all documention was prepared in the matter for filing with a deceased individual this process is hard enough for my 91 year old grandmother who has now had to lay all three of her children to rest before herself, but she needed this money to provide a proper burial for her son.

I too received the the infamous report that the delay had occured and we also paid the extra money Through Turbo Tax, to have the tax refund expidited so we could use these funds for the funeral. I called this bank and asked how the hell they were even involved and they said it was due to the fact we were having the funds deducted from the return. Then the female i spoke to told me it was her third day and she needed to get a supervisor because they usually don't deal with deceased and this was her first one. " I am sure if it's only your 3rd day.

I have filed a report with the BBB called the Irs the money has been released and I think it's terrible for what they are doing my uncle is still sitting in an urn in ashes not buried and my grand mother is helpless. I think it's the appauling that the Irs knows of this bank and it's practices and continues to do business with this rotten outfit.

Somebody has to hear the all the complaints they are al lover the internet and no action is being taken. Good luck to anyone that find themselves innocently involved with these people!

Also known as Pacific Capital Bancorp or formerly PCBC this company has a long and troubled history especially since 2004. And subsequent to a couple of different ownerships it is now owned by Union Bank or Mistsubishi Bank. As public records show, the trouble began in earnest with RAL and IT technology fiascos which provided a double whammy to their business. As you can see from the public record the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency slapped them with an MOU which was eventually made a matter of public knowledge: 'During the second quarter of 2009, PCB entered into the Memorandum of understanding with the FRB (“FRB Memorandum”) and PCBNA entered into the Memorandum of understanding with the OCC (“OCC Memorandum”). See “Regulation and Supervision—Current Regulatory Matters” for the discussion of the terms of the FRB Memorandum and OCC Memorandum. If PCB fails to comply with the FRB Memorandum or PCBNA fails to comply with the OCC Memorandum, it may be subject to further supervisory enforcement action, which could have a material adverse effect on its results of operations, financial condition and business.'

I must say that in my personal opinion much of the above relates to faulty leadership within the bank which led to its eventual demise and takeover, and a particularly heinous miscreant representing top leadersip appears to be present among top management today.  Recently a letter was mailed to existing account holders that if they did not agree to the usurious new loan rates levied by Union Bank then their loans would be terminated and made immediately payable in full.  From what I can gather, the langusge in that letter was false and misleading which appears to be the way these people enjoy doing business.  For my own part, I intend to challenge the foregoing on court should they pursue legal action on my account, and I will enjoy the opportunity to publicly state my knowledge of what I know about the faulty and misleading way they do business.
