SANTA BARBARA BANK AND TRUST/TAXBRAIN SBBT AND TAXBRAIN IN THEIR SCAM TOGETHER Santa Barbara california

i certainly wish i would have came on here 2 weeks ago before i filed my irs refund then i wouldnt have the same issues as the previous people stated. i never do my own taxes online. i typically go to h&r block or a private accountant to do them and i end up paying them 200-300 dollars so i decided id save my self a few bucks and do them online myself....BIG MISTAKE.

i used TAXBRAIN .i selected the 2 day refund for 150.00 and naturally like everyone else on here has stated my loan was denied. i checked the status of my return on the irs website and first it said i should receive my refund by feb 2nd and now it says feb 10th so i have no idea what the deal with that is but im kinda pissed.

ok so to make a long story short i am out 150.00 dollars to these scam artists (SBBT AND TAXBRAIN) and only god knows when im getting my refund. i am never using them again. i had an accountant do mine last year and had no problem getting a 2 day refund from republic bank and trust so SBBT is full of you know what.

i say that all of us who have gotten taken by these 2 companies should band together and do whatever we have to do to at least get our 150.00 dollars back if nothing else and if we can run them both out of business.

Sorry, you cannot expedite your refund while paying with a credit card, on TaxBrain. If a customer pays the fees by credit card, they are not applying for an expedited refund in any way. The only way to get an expedited refund through TaxBrain is to apply for a Quickaccess 2-day refund anticipation loan. In this case, there are no up front fees, and the fees are taken out of the refund when refund is issued by the IRS.

As per my original message, if a customer is not approved for the 2-day refund loan, they are not charged the loan fee. Furthermore, if the IRS never issues the refund (for whatever reason), TaxBrain and SBB&T do not receive any payment whatsoever, and the customer ends up getting a free return preparation and filing.

This customer is stating completely incorrect information regarding his/her fees. If a customer is denied for the RAL, they are NOT charged the loan fee. The statement "I am out $150" is completely false. The truth is that no fees can be recouped by TaxBrain OR SBB&T until a refund is issued by the IRS. So, the fact is that not only has this customer not currently paid a single dollar, if and when they do, they will not be charged $150.
