I applied via Craigslist to a job posting for a position at Santa Monica Fiat. I was called by a woman who told me they lied what they saw in my resume, and told me to go come to Santa Monica Fiat.when I went to Santa Monica Fiat, they told me I had to first go through their training before I could get the job. They were planning to hire 3 people or more. The training was done by National Auto Academy. There were about 10 people interested in the job. Once we found National Auto Academy was going to charge us over $600 dollars for the training, only 3 people remained. One guy who didn't pay, but was still able to sit at the interview, one woman wh paid, and me who also paid. I went to the interview after the 3rd and final day of training, and was interviewed by the Santa Monica Fiat staff. I didn't get the job although only 3 people remianed and I was told I needed to pass the training to get the job. I contacted the office iof National Auto Academy via phone to get a refund, and the manager told me she wouldn't give me a refund because I paid for materials and a certificate. I told her I didn't want it, and I could return the materials and certificate to her since I only went to the training because it was required to get the job. She still told me she would not give me a refund. I wish I had seen other ripoff reports about how this company works with auto dealers to get money from people looking for a job!
