Santander consumer USA Upside Down and Robbery Ft. Worth Texas
Two years ago, I finished paying off my family vehicle. I wanted to buy my dream car. So I purchased it through Santander for $11,000. But when they added the interest, it came out to be $20,000. I've had it for two years now paying $500.00 a month. As of today I owe $19,000. Which doesnt make any since. I need help to get out of this highway robbery. HELP!!!!

Santander isn't the problem. Why are they financing your car? Why not a bank with a much lower APR??? Why? Because the banks don't want to finance you because of YOUR self developed credit reputation. Santander is a subprime lender with whom you were PLACED. Subprime lenders have higher default rates and higher collections costs due to having to go after deadbeats who are serial deadbeats. That's the BAD part. The GOOD part is YOU don't need to be a subprime risk! Neither you, me or anybody else is ENTITLED to a low APR. All of use must QUALIFY or EARN a lower APR. Your credit will gradually improve as you continue to pay on time and never default. The cry babies and whiners you see complaining about this and other subprime lenders are wailing because of the lender's collections machine. They turn on this machine by continuing as a serial deadbeat, making up every excuse in the world as to why the lender is so, so bad. However, YOU don't need to slip to their VERY LOW mentality. You can rise above all this. This is your dream car, the car you always wanted. I understand that. Add to the joy of finally getting your dream car, the turning point of changing from a subprime borrower to a prime borrower by making each and every payment on time, everytime. In time, this dream will be the best dream you could ever have.
