All you have to do is pay the car off now. The two or three times the value of the car that you are speaking about is mostly interest on the loan.  If you pay off the loan now, that stops the interest now.

You can pay off the loan in any of these ways: 1) pay off with the cash you have saved up  or 2), if you don't have the cash now, go to a credit union and refinance for a much lower interest rate. You will probably have to bring additional funds to closing to pay the difference between what they will finance for you and the remaining amount of the current loan.

Another option for you is to sell the vehicle to someone else. Again, you are probably upside down since you just purchased this vehicle.

In the future, get your financing lined up with your credit union first before you go looking for a new car so you don't get stuck with a subprime lender.

Naturally, your credit and income will become a factor if you decide to go with a new refinance. Good luck.

"paying double if not triple  what car is worth is unfair and against the law"

What law is that? A merchant can charge whatever they want for their merchandise. It's the customer's choice if they want to pay the price.

I agree with the previous comment that you were ripped off by your grammer school education system.

The real ripoff here is whatever school you attended ripped you off because you didn't even learn basic third grade grammar, sentence structure, punctuation and writing skills and grade school student knows.  As far as Santander, they are a SUBPRIME lender.  You had to be placed with a SUBPRIME lender because YOU and only YOU destroyed your credit.  If you want the relationship between you and the lender to go well, then very simply, you pay your bills on time!
