Sgt. Bruce Nason and officer Case Reardon were driving home from a training course and had about 4 beers each before getting behind the wheel. Well they crashed their vehicle and did damage to the vehicle. Sgt. Nason was driving and reardon was in passenger seat. The N.Y. State troopers were called because it was out of Saranac Lake jurisdiction. A trooper responded and saw a Saranac Lake Police cruiser traveling the opposite direction. They were indeed out of their jurisdiction, so the trooper went to the scene and saw an undercover Saranac Lake police car wrecked. He immediately went to the Saranac lake Police station and was met by Police Chief Donald perryman and stated the officers were involved in a deer accident. The trooper was never allowed to speak with the officers. The trooper stated he felt intimidated by Perryman. Perryman, Nason, and Reardon were suspended without pay! I will update when i learn more.

I can't understand why a police sgt. named Bruce Nason was promoted to chief when Donald Perryman then cheif was fired for covering up the drinking and accident of his officers while on duty. The officers involved in the crash were Sgt. Nason and officer Casey Reardon. They were coming from Plattsburgh, training session. Are the police above the law?
