The Sarat family owns three (3)

Ford dealerships. (Sarat Ford of Agawam, MA. / Northampton Ford of Northampton.

MA. and Family Ford of Enfield, CT.)

I was sold a 2008 Ford Eddie Bauer Expedition by Sarat Ford of Agawam that

turned out to be a "LEMON".

Sarat Ford had my 2008 Expedition for 35 days. Two violations of the states

"Lemon" Laws. They at no time offered any alternate transportation

and left me stranded.

Jeff Sarat the General Manager's constant comment to me was "I'll See What

I Can Do"

Ford Motor Company (Dealings were with Ford's Legal Dept. in Dearborn, Michigan)

replaced my 2008 Ford Expedition with a 2010 Ford Expedition on

April 30th of 2010. After facing the probability of a law suit.

Prior to delivering my 2010 Expedition, Jeff Sarat of Sarat Ford in Agawam

attempted to add a $500 markup to a "Lemon Law" replacement vehicle.

Ford's Legal Department informed him he was to deliver the vehicle for only the

registration costs.

My 2010 Ford Eddie Bauer Expedition has only 3,800 miles on it and I'm now in

pocession of another "Lemon".

One Tire was replaced by Sarat Ford due to being defective. I still had

constant vibration from my vehicles drive train and the vehicle was incapable

of towing my boat or being used because of constant vibration from the drive

train.

I went to a wheel shop that identified that all four tires had flat spots

(I.e. Like driving a Flintstone vehicle. - Thump, Thump)

I went back to Sarat Ford Service in Agawam, informed them of the tire

situation. All they did was balance the wheels and refused to deal with the

issues with the defective tires or the vibration in my drive train.

The service manager informed me that Ford would not replace four (4) tires.

Sarat Ford's Service manager told me to go to a tire dealer for warranty.

I did this and it cost me close to $1,000 to replace all four tires.

I then called Ford Motor Company and was told, I should have been sent to

another Ford dealer for the tires and said I was out of luck on the $1,000.

I still had a vibration in my drive train and Ford Motor Company setup a call

with Northampton Ford to look at my vehicle.

The service person from Northampton Ford called me back and told me that they

would not service my car because the Sarat's owned Northampton Ford and Scott

Sarat who is one of my neighbors seems to run this dealership and subsequently

told the service department that they were not to service my Ford Expedition

for the drive train vibration or anything else.

Ford’s response is that these are independent business people and they can do what they please!

I would strongly recommend that no one do business with the Sarat family or any

of their three dealerships (Sarat Ford of Agawam, MA. / Northampton Ford of

Northampton. MA. and Family Ford of Enfield, CT.)

I'm sure there are many people out there who have experienced problems with the

Sarat Dealerships. (As I have spoken to quite a few people who have been taken

over the coals by the Sarat's business practices.)

What has happened to accountability? Ford sells cars to the Sarat Dealerships,

yet, has no power to dictate that they take care of customer issues or the fix

the problems they cause.

"Let This Be a Warning that you should find any Dealership to do Business with Other than the listed Sarat Ford dealerships (Sarat Ford of Agawam, MA. / Northampton Ford of Northampton. MA. and Family Ford of Enfield, CT.)"
