I was ripped off. Sari Friedman does
not support men's rights as she advertises. It's all a ploy to have you
sign her retainer so she can milk you of thousands of dollars. Do your
research before retaining her services...The women is BAD news, check
out Americans for Legal Reform, I was referred to this web site, when I
called, they gave me an ear full concerning her practices. We all cannot
be wrong about our horrible experiences with this women. Stay
away!!!!!! If you run out of money she accepts, houses, cars, jewelry,
property, fur coats, dogs, cats, fish, rats, etc......Stay
away!!!!!!!!!
DON'T SIGN HER RETAINER! Sari M. Friedman is a knowledgeable attorney
who, unfortunately, places her earnings first and foremost above
providing caring and effective representation to her clients. Her fees
are much too high and she just hands cases over to a staff attorney
after she's "closed the deal" with a prospective client. At first she is
very persuasive and acts concerned but once you have signed her
retainer, she instantly becomes disinterested, uncaring and often
belligerent and argumentative if a client expresses concerns regarding
their case or her ever-growing charges.
If attorneys were rated only on their ability to extract the largest
fee possible, Ms. Friedman would undoubtedly deserve a perfect "10", but
if you're looking for someone to represent you who doesn't charge
$350.00 an hour OR MORE for work performed by paralegals and secretaries
and who will not charge excessive amounts for every paper clip and
staple used, this is definitely not the lawyer for you.
I forgot remain clear of Sari Friedmans Mens Rights Group. Look it up on
the Web when they meet. She uses this tacit in order to swindle as many
retainers as possible from men who are emotionally involved in
obtaining custody of their children. Not realizing once they sign Sari's
retainer they will experience the complete opposite of what she
promised them during their initial meeting. Use a voice recorder when
communicating with her or any one connected to her firm. Use the e-mail
system if you can not record you phone conversations. Call Americans for
Legal Reform they have a wealth of information on Sari Friedman and can
provide many other contacts who have had bad experiences with her.
Obtaining
as much money in a life time as possible is her goal. She is often
referred to as a capitalist, and once you pay her a visit at her office
at number "666" you will understand what I am explaining.

I am posting here to give an opposing view to the negative comments posted about Sari Friedman and her law firm. I am a male registered nurse who just came off a three year attack from my Sociopath wife. I am very glad I found and used the services of Sari and her firm. I found both Sari and her associates to be pleasant, knowledgeable, and interested in my welfare.
My personal experience was mainly with Sari and Andrea Friedman during my three year ordeal, but I also met with several other staff as well. I found Sari and Andrea to be extremely responsive to concerns and complaints, and her entire staff to be an "at your service" organization, well worth every dime paid to them. My case went to trial, not before Sari tried to settle five times in three years to no avail. My wife's stated goal was "to bankrupt me", and make sure "I never see my children again". My children are scarred for life from this ordeal, but it is not Sari Friedman's fault!
Blame for these kind of situations rest squarely on the shoulders of a biased system employing Judges who allow spouses to get away with outrageous behavior in order to drag cases along endlessly using your children as pawns in a game. It is the SYSTEM and the JUDGES who are to blame, not the attorneys! Most of these cases could be wrapped up within a day or two if the Judges just took the time to pay attention, work a normal schedule, and cut through the nonsense that passes for marital law.
I spent considerable time and money having my case reviewed TWICE at various intervals by three of the best NY divorce attorney's available (count it folks, that is 6 times I consulted outside of the Friedman law firm) in an effort to leave no stone unturned for the benefit of my children (just exactly as I would if either they or I had a serious, life threatening illness). I also consulted, countless times, three well known NY Psychologists who are all part of the court system. At every level, both her competitors and those who deal with her alike, agreed that not only was my case being handled appropriately and they would do no different but if it went worse case scenario (as it did) no one would be better to represent me at trial than Sari.
They were right! My case did go to trial, and although it did not exactly go as I might have desired, it ended better than I see most of my friends divorces have because of the determination of Sari Friedman. Both her and Andrea are well prepared in court, fight like tigers for your rights, give you pertinent suggestions, and directly tell you when you are wrong or cannot win a point saving you both time and money.
Face it people, especially if you are MALE, the SYSTEM is against you and perpetuates the myth that Mommy should have the children and Daddy should pay through the nose while being denied visitation. Blame the corrupt SYSTEM and the LAZY JUDGES who tolerate the bad behavior of our spouses for that, not Sari. My experience was that Sari Friedman, Andrea Friedman, and their entire staff was nothing but supportive, informed, willing to settle but ready to fight at every turn. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking an attorney in a contentious divorce and assure you that if you go to trial, you will be well represented.
In conclusion, just do yourselves all a favor. Realize that no attorney is either a magician or your therapist. They can only deal within what I already describe is a broken system. Get yourself a therapist to help you through the divorce at the onset so you are not using your attorney as one and being billed for legal time, and get a reality check and try to avoid this broken system altogether for the sake of your children. That is the best advice you are ever going to get!
