Saveology.com is a major scam and rip-off. I was unable to cancel my account online, so I called their customer service to handle this. After talking to the rep for over 30 minutes, she finally agreed to reverse all my charges and cancel my benefits. Unfortunately, I was still charged and had to call again to cancel.

After disabling the autorenewal of my account, I had remaining Saveology credit that I used to purchase a gift certificate. The gift certificate did not work, so I contacted the store and Saveology. The store eventually told me that Saveology ran the promotion without their permission so the gift certificate was not valid. I called Saveology to explain so they could reverse the purchase and return my credit. They said it could take up to a week for the credit to show on my account. I waited a couple weeks and still no action was taken by Saveology. I contacted their customer service online and explained that if they didn't return my credit, I would have to contact my local troubleshooter. This prompted them to return my credit within a few days.

I then didn't have enough Saveology credit to buy what I wanted, so I added $15 to my account. The $15 was supposed to show up within 24 hours and I called three times about the issue. The rep said it would be resolved within 15 minutes. Days later, I have yet to see the $15 credit added to my account.

The service rep also said that, because of my difficulties with Saveology, she would offer me a $100 rewards card for $1.99 with a no-contract subscription to MagazineCo.com (for $6.95). I was charged for this subscription, but have no way of accessing the account. The e-mail that she said would come within 24-48 hours never came. They essentially have my credit card held hostage.

I would not recommend using this company in any way. They promise resolutions that do not occur. It is a very misleading or misled organization that has caused much frustration for me. Please avoid them at all costs (costs that may be more than you intended).
