Complaint Review: Saville Sawmill

Steve Saville bid on my job in Hagerstown to supply and install hardwood floors. Even though his original bid was higher than others, he asked me to give him the job if he matched the other bid. I did so and the process has been a disaster ever since. The job took longer than I was told, which I didn't mind nor did I complain (I realize that is often the case in contracting projects). However, during the last phases he disappeared and has never come back to finish the job. He begged me to pay him in full, which I obviously shouldn't have done, but I wanted to help him out and he promised he would take the rest of the wood back the mill to stain before returning to finish up. After that day, I never heard back and never got my job finished (or even my wood back). I've sent countless voicemails and messages to both the sawmill and at Steve's cell phone. I'm at a loss but I wanted to warn everyone to beware of this business.
