Complaint Review: SavMor Rent A Car - Las Vegas

If you don't believe in using credit cards, and would prefer to rent your car using a debit card, beware of the "convenience" charge associated with using a debit card. Savmor had me sign a sheet of paper saying that they would charge me $5 for the "luxury" of using my debit card. I asked the sales rep to explain why, and he said, "Most companies don't let you use debit cards, so we're doing you a favor." I think it's a way to take advantage of people who are in a town that they are not familiar with. If you don't believe in credit, you are essentially "punished" for actually having the cash to cover a rental car.
