Complaint Review: Savmor Rent A Car -- Las Vegas

My husband and I rented a car from SavMor Car Rentals at McCarran Rental Car Center in Las Vegas, NV.We were in a hurry after standing in line at another company who lost our reservation and wanted to charge us over 5X the internet rate. I think the lady's name at SavMor was Theresa and she made arrangements to rent us the car for $27.46 per day for 4 days. My husband told her he wanted no insurance. He even asked her if she felt we needed it and she said no. When we returned the car, we were charged an extra $21.90 per day for insurance. This made the price of the car almost $50.00 per day not to mention all the fees go up since they're based on percentages.

I feel that this charge was slipped in after the conversation about not wanting or needing insurance, figuring that he would sign the receipt, not study it and be responsible for the charges.(this is exactly what happened)

I think this was a deceptive practice and called to report it receiving no satisfaction. I will NEVER rent another car from your company and will let everyone I know not to do business with you.

Also, the car had a bad tire and made us leery of driving on the freeways. These cars should be checked before putting them back on the road.
