Spend 2 hours with over 10 service representatives (supervisors, managers) for a SIMPLE problem of UPGRADING existing DSL service order of Express Package to Pro Package. One service representative, named Lynnette, treated me like I was an imbecile. Two hours! Over 10 representatives (too many to remember)! SBC needs to re-train their entire staff or if this is how they truly do business--to frustrate and cause resentments in their customers--I hope they go bankrupt.

The problems with DSL & Internet services are never going to stop unless customers complain and I mean really complain. Put the pressure on. I am an SBC employee and I know for a fact that they contract work out to India I have a list of non-employees (this is what they list them as). These people handle all of your business and have all of your information in their hands i.e. telephone number, address, legal name, ssn, DL. First off you can't even understand what their saying and they're not understanding what your saying...it's like giving a f*kn english lesson each time you call. SBC wants to be cheap and feels like this misuse is a benefit to all of thier customers. Not only do they contract work out to India but they contract through other companies in the US who in fact hire from the bottom of the barrel and they too have your information. This whole process was dreamed by none other than out CEO Ed Whitacre. SBC/Pacific Bell employees & customers have been complaining about this for years and it just keeps getting worse!! I think SBC needs to take their a$$es back to Texas and leave Pacific Bell alone. We've always provided quality service and built a excellent name and a reputation for ourselves..I wish they would allow us to do our jobs!! SBC SUCKS..GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!!!

Sorry to say, that your issues are not just confined to CALIF. I have had total run-ins with SBC here in Texas. They are getting a lot of business cause they are pricing the service so low. However when you have problems, be prepared to deal with TOTAL IDIOTS. Also the normal type of people that they want are the INTERNET USELESS. People that they can control & dont really understand the history & logic behind the internet. They want to POLICE your activities & comments in public forums & such also. I have moved on to a TRUE PROVIDER that sells me ACCESS & BANDWIDTH and that is all......
