Danger in the Wanted Ad's

Before you start job-hunting, read this;

They come in all different areas and categories. They all have different store names. Different stories. But the outcome is always the same. They are scams, and if you do not educate yourself, you too can fall victim.

There are many out there, buts let's take one example. They are called Scentura Creations. You can compare them to Emodels or Primerica. But their treatment of employees is worse. The following is a true life story of one girls disillusioning encounter:

I was 17 years old, and it was just another day scouring the classifieds. I had been at it for a week with no luck so far. That's when I spotted it:

Attention: We need 15 people now!
No experience needed. We will train you for a
Management position. Up to 750.00 a week
during training.

Wow! Perfect. I picked up the phone and called.

California Designs answered the receptionist.

I told her why I was calling, and she scheduled me for an interview the next day. I showed up, and there was a room full of people there also. The Office Manager, Mark, came in and introduced himself. He talked about how he was looking for bright, motivated, go-getters who would be trained to open their own perfume store. After the presentation, he let us go and kept me and 2 other girls behind. I kept you here, because you are the cream of the crop he said.

We were hired then and there (along with everyone else we found out) and told that our first assignment would be to see if we could sell any bottles to our friends and family that night. I should back up and describe the office. It was a bare makeshift office with no real Lived in look Maybe one or 2 pictures, sporadic furniture, you get the picture.

The next day training started. As it was explained, we were to go out for the day (in our own cars, with our own gas money) and try to sell perfume. Anywhere we could. If there was a No Soliciting sign, we were to ignore it and go in anyways. For every bottle we sold, me made approx. 4-7$ from it. Here is the catch; even when we sold a bottle, we never got to see the money, it was put in a special account for us.

They also taught us little songs that were supposed to pump us up. Motivated, motivated, absolutely motivated, if you're not motivated, get the f**k out! they would chant. For those who actually sold some perfume, they were taken out on a satellite which they made seem like a big deal.

What's a satellite? Basically it is you, your manager, and a group of others. They take you to a far city, cram all of you into one motel room, and make you sell perfume in that city all night.

I could go onbut who needs to? You get the point. I left after a week, I never saw a dime of my money. I left because my parents made me. When I told my boss I quit, he told me my parents were being inconsiderate and ruining my future

As you can see, this company needs to be stopped. Yet, they thrive. Finding fresh, nave victims every week.

What can you do??

2 things. First of all, educate yourself. Become familiar with what the ads read like. They all have the same basic format. They are looking for multiple people, they promise quite a bit of money for no experience. Basically the ad reads like a dream job. If you are curious about an ad, call the number, Ask straight up if they are Scentura Creations. (they go under tons of different names) If they are not, ask whom the are exactly, and research it.

Secondly, let me know you are willing to fight. I am in the process of gathering what I can to take to the FTC. We need to unite to stop this madness.

By the way, the corporate office is in Atlanta, but the are international, and all over the USA.

My fiance and i were scammed by scentora creations. It almost ruined our seven year relationship. It was the most awful experince of our lifes. They told him that the problems in our relationship (i.e. he was "working" until sometimes two or three in the morning, these "satillites" where the manager ray and cantrell located in moreno valley ca. would take his cell phone away for extended amounts of time where i could not contact him for over twenty four hours, they promiced him huge amounts of money and he only got sometimes five dollars that would have to go towards gas, etc.)were normal and the partner and family members would think that the person was using drugs, that the person should drop the relationship and their family members who did not support every move in their life that included Scentora Creations. They hipe the experince up with stupid catch phrases. My fiance almost got arrested for solisiting in front of target once because he ignored the warning.

NEVER EVER WORK FOR SCENTURA CREATIONS!!! IT MAY RUIN YOUR LIFE AND FAMILY BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO LISTEN TO YOUR FAMILY IF THEY TELL YOU IF THEY SEE YOUR LIFE CHANGING
IF IT'S TOO GOOD TO BELIEVE MOST LIKELY IT IS TOO GOOD.

I had worked for the company for almost a month working my @ss of eating up all the b.s. they were feeding me until i realized what was going on. let me break it down like this any one who "owned" an office was like a "PIMP" and whoever had a backpack was a "h*o" we were sent on missions to go out and sell bottles of perfume for a flat price of $30.00

heres the funny part out of the $30.00, $20.00 goes to the company from every bottle we sell and anything after that goes to you but if you were what they called an "F.N.P." (thats what you are called for your first week being led on to belive it means Famously New Person but later on finding out that it means Fuc*in new Pus*y or if you were good at selling Fuc*in New Person) not only do they screw you out of you money they also screw you out of gas money and they expect you not to eat or even go to the bathroom before selling 5 bottles of this stuff let me stop right here cuz i will go on all day.
