We were shopping for cars this weekend and one of the salesman, who used to play football for USC, told us about how he had ripped off and 80 year old mand and his young grandson earlier that day. He said he got them to pay almost $85,000 for a car that was only $24,000. He mentioned that they put $20,000 down and had a $300 monthly payment for 6 years. He told us that it was their fault because they were dumb enough not to do the math. Right after he told us this, they brought us our payment information and we added it up and it was wrong as well. So we left without buying a car from them. They are scum.

First of all your math that he apparently told you was wrong. $20,000 down plus $300 a month for 72 months is only $41600($20,000 + $21,600). Which depending on the true details, and their interest rate would be about right.

Second, you didn't tell us your "numbers", and showed how they were wrong.

Third, why are you going to Long Beach/Signal Hill from Lake Forest. That is at least an hour round trip(with no traffic). You have another dealer minutes from you in Irvine, and one a few more miles away in Tustin.

Also, why in the world would a Salesman who is trying to sell you a car admit that they scammed someone else?
