This is a rip off... the total bill for my visit was $308 for a 20 minute basic exam (temperature check, heart pressure check, check for basic physical responses, etc.). I don't believe they should be able to charge that much for such a simple visit. This is very close to emergency room (which is also a rip off), but for a 20 minute visit - $300+?! Come on!

Tells you how good is our medical system! They may call whatever the price they would like and you can't do nothing about it. I hope you burn in hell!

*** Ok and to add to this $300 price - the doctor kept talking on his d**n cell phone all the time, I don't really care about that, but for such price he could wait until he is done

Urgent care facilities are for people who need to see a doctor quickly but not quite in an "emergency" basis.  If this was a "basic" exam why did you go to an Urgent Care facility?  You should have gone to your regular doctor.

You could do something about it, but just like everything else it is YOUR responsibility to do that.  You could have easily asked what they charge for their services BEFORE you saw the doctor.  If you didn't like the price you could have gone to another doctor.

Oh and if you really think that the $308 amount would be close to what you are charged in an Emergency Room, you are very mistaken.  For $300 in an ER you would be lucky to just get your temperature taken.
