Scheherazade Sphynx Cattery Kristen Leedom Sick Cats - Following Bad Breeding Practices New Berlin Wisconsin
I purchased a kitten from this lady and he instantly was sick. The vet determined he had viral herpes (from the cattery) and he then spread it to our other two cats. I decided to keep him because we had bonded and just accepted the fact that a few times a year we would have high vet bills when the virus flared up. We thought that was the worst of it until at a few years old he suddenly became violently ill (dramatic weight loss, anemia, kidney failure, and then total organ failure). Despite the best animal hospital we could find, there was nothing we could do and we had to have him euthanized. The only thing the different vets could determine is that it was likely an issue from breeding.
After this incident I spoke with other breeders out of state and was made aware of the horrible repuation this breeder has with her practices and of selling sick cats. Save your heart and wallett from a lot of pain and go to a different breeder that cares about the animals and that is following best practices.
This woman should be shut down!

We are on our third kitten from Kristen Leedom and they are healthy, happy and the most cared after kitties, ever. I lost my hair to alopecia, 32 years ago, and met Kristen, who generously donates part of her profits to alopecia support. I have visited her home over ten times, over the past five years and every time her place is super clean. My one kitty is 13 years old, the other is 9 and our baby is brand new... only 10 months old.
I agree that this AMY person must be speaking about the wrong person. Our kitties are living proof that they are health, living LONG lives and are the best little cats that I could have ever dreamed of owning.
Kristen is not only very careful about keeping clean housing areas for her cats, but they have more room to run around than some people do. These kittles live the life of luxury. Some of her studs are 12 years and older....this shows that she takes care of her animals. They are her children, from what I can tell.
I encourage anyone reading this to disregard what one person says out of spite. To my knowledge, this simply is NOT true.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND KRISTEN and her cattery to anyone. I have done this numerous times and as a public figure, that puts my reputation on the line. I have no worries when sending people her way. I am very saddened to see that other Sphynx breeders would stoop so low as to post negative comments on Rip Off Report of a reputable cattery like Scheherazade. If you go to Kristen's home, you would be surprise! It is prestine and always immaculate. The conditions of the housing is top notch. Kristen has one the best catteries for Sphynx cats in the USA. We are on our sixth kitty from Kristen's and they are the most wonderful and amazing little pets. Kristen keeps all of her cages super clean and I love that there is room for all of the kitties to play. They literally have their own rooms that are huge! I strongly recommend that you reach out to her if you have any questions. These kitties are between a really smart dog and a super smart cat. I couldn't live without our hairless babies! Thanks for all your do, Kristen! We appreciate you. Please disregard any of the negative comments on here. We know that they must be from other breeders that are jealous that Kristen does such a great job. We have been getting kitties from her for over 18 years, now. TOP NOTCH and FIVE STARS!

I don't know who "Amy" is with no last name or location is. Nor have I been contacted directly by "Amy" with no last name or location. Anyone can file these reports and say anything they want whether it's true or made up. Because something is on the internet doesn't mean its factual. Many times it's other breeders who file these type of reports.
