March 2009, Tom with Scholarship Monthly contacted me due to my interest in the magazine from a scholarship website. I explained to him that I was a single mother and unemployed and that I had decided to return to school to complete my college education and needed all of the assistance I could find. He sold me the subscription on the basis of how it would help me find scholarships and grants that could help me stay in school. While he was taking my information, we talked about the area I lived in and the weather. He told me about Minnesota. A couple of weeks later, I received my first magazine and the information about the gas cards. I did the first month on the gas card and have not received any other information about it other than it was received. It has been four months since I received my first magazine and no others have arrived. Since then, I have had problems with the bank account that I had used to order the magazine (purchases made from my account that I knew nothing about), forcing me to have all of that changed. Now, I am trying to contact this "Tom" fellow and all the numbers I find tell me they are disconnected. I paid $72 for this subscription and all I got was one magazine. I am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau.
