SCI*STAMPS.COM i FOUND A CHARGE OF $17.95 while scrolling thru my bank's online statement, phoned the number listed, and "Wynette" (sp?) told me "You opened this account on Aug. 4th, and if you dispute it you'll need to go to your bank"; this after I'd informed her I was at the ICU bedside of my now deceased companion during the week of, and after, that date.. CA California
On 9/4/08, this 'Stamp company' charged my bank acct. $17.95 for services never requested and when I explained how it was impossible for that to occur, I was told to sign a protest at my Bank...when I searched their website , I see they've had numerous complaints. There are 2 other organizations on my bank statement from which I've never ordered services/products, with nearly identicle purchase numbers-the different numbers consisting of 8 in the middle. This is very serious, as I'm on a SS income, and so far, they've stolen $45.92 , between 8/12/08 and 9/4/08.
