I answered an ad through craigslist it stated they are looking for 20 models under the age of 5.  The ad is very appealing it states "don't feel bad if you don't get an email back from us wanting to use your child".  I received a response to the picture/ email that i subbmitted and stated that my child was choosen to see the director, but needed to write an essay about our family to weed out the "drama Mama's" and "Stage Moms".   The reality is the company is making sure the parents are financially stable to pay there $1495 fee.

The company is in Los Angeles in the NBC studios 20th floor.  The third email stated that they have been in business for over 21 years and only deal with the cream of the crop kids.  In this third email it states dress to impress the director and since the office is in the NBC studios building he compares his office to "Vegas for Kids".  which cleary wasn't the case it was full of toys that clearly needed to be dusted and cleaned.  The "Director" was in a old T-shirt and jeans.  It should have been a RED FLAG.

We were asked to bring 5 pictures of our child  and 3 changes of clothes to do a possible photo shoot.  Also the email informed us that both parents had to attend this meeting together.  My husband shows the Director the 5 pictures of our child he picked one picture and than handed back the other four pictures.  He stated that he was going to send that picture to a Agent and stated he already has an agent that is looking for someone just like our child.   The Director "Mr.C" stated he had to excuse himself for a second to email that picture to the agent.

The Director comes back in the room and stated that our child was selected.  All we need to do now was fill out the contract and pay $1495.00.  We tried to research this company online but it is a ghost company on the internet.  He stated that there is a 60 day money back guarantee that they will get an agent for our child.  BEWARE the director will come back in the room with an interview already in place.  At that point he has fulfilled his obligations and you just wasted $1495.00.  The director is very smooth and says "Lets do this"  your child is going to be the next big one.  He hands us the contract and the contract is very binding and leaves no room for the consumer to get your money back.  Also if you want to go through with the offer you have to sign up at that point in time "boiler room" style and doesn't let you think about it whatsoever.
