I've read many reports about Scott Lowery on this site, and have an idea what this gentleman (ha!) is about. Today I received a letter on an old debt (nearing the SOL) from an account originally held by METRIS, then turned over to CACH, LLC.

CACH took me to court in 2010. I was undergoing chemotherapy and unable to attend any of the meetings. Luckily the lawyer I retained somehow got the charges dismissed in October, 2010. They were dismissed 'without prejudice' which I know means I can be sued again.

Now, the letter from Scott. It says (like many others) that no attorney has personally viewed my particular circumstances, but to call them.

Am I seriously going to get sued again over this old account? If so, will it at least benefit me that this case has been dismissed once already? If anyone from the agency ever actually LOOKS at my information, will it deter them that this was dismissed in court just months ago?

I never owed CACH or Scott money directly, so I'm hoping that helps out as well. I cannot afford another set of legal fees to fight this same issue again....and so soon. Ugggh.

Thank you!
