Scott Queathem of Stonewood Group LLC lied to a hospital group about needing a deposit in order to inspect COVID-19 test kits that were for sale.  Once Scott received  the $67,500 deposit, he claimed to have wired it directly to the owner of the test kits so the hospital group could inspect the product.

However, instead of sending the seller the funds, he wired the money to his accomplice Michael Shine from Onsite Service Corporation (who has been in previous trouble for running a sweepstakes scam bilking hundreds of victims out of $10,000,000 - https://apnews.com/article/316eba763f9a2c2d1834b947aada1f45).

We tracked down the ACTUAL seller of the product, who confirmed that 1). He required a deposit and 2). He didn't receive any deposit money from Scott Queathem, Stonewood Group LLC or Onsite Service Corporation.

Once confronted, Scott made up a ridiculous story and claimed that he immediately stopped the wire he had sent to the seller (which we know was NOT the seller, but rather his accomplice).  The buyer requested the deposit be returned immediately, and he has not initiated the return of the funds, and is not responding to further requests to process the refund.

Unfortunately from the looks of it, we were not the only ones to have been scammed by these people.
