Complaint Review: Scott Schufford

I was searching the internet looking for an IPphone6 when I came across a Craigslist ad #4911373192 supposedly by a cell phone dealer. He name is Scott Schufford and he told me he had just what  I was looking for  and could ship it to me in two days. I ask if I could use PayPal he agreed.  After paying the agreed amount he emailed me back and said he was sending me a refund because, "PayPal is being a Butt" because he had sold too many phones that month. He then suggested Google Wallet we tried that by Google Wallet would not allow the transaction as well. You would think I would have had enough sense to just stop at that point but   Scott Schufford said it must be something on my end and suggested a person 2 person transfer from my bank to his bank and gave me his routing and bank account numbers  to his Capital One 360 checking account. I thought he would not have given me this information if he was planning to  defraud me, but I was wrong. My purchase and  transfer occurred Mr. Schufford  emailed thanked me and  claimed the phone will be shipped via FedEx and would arrive within two days.  I asked for the tracking number and he said he would get it to me later that day,  but this never happened.  That's when I finally knew  this is a total scam.

I hope that Capital One realizes that being associated, even unknowingly  with this type of fraud will only  belittles your company's  reputation in the eyes of consumers and should be stopped ASAP. Hopefully you will take action and close this person's account.
