This man Scott Ward legally gets away with out paying child support! Ever heard of that? Not me until now!
He collects a disability check from social security. (And he never worked enough in his life for there to be enough in his SSI account so that the boys can collect a check off of him) So the wonderful state of Virginia won't take even $50 a month from him.
But...the funny thing is that he is self employed. He deals in scrap metal. He can make anywhere from $200-$2000 in a single day that he decides to work. But he hides behind his "Bi-polar" disorder and claims he cant work.
My two children whent to visit him over the summer, and he put them to work stripping metal! They were 7 and 9 years old, out there in the heat using bolt cutters to strip his metal so he could get a better price for that load! While they were doing that he was in the air conditioned house playing video games!
My oldest son told me his father made almost $2,000 off of that load. My sons got a trip to Bush Gardens out of it. At least they got something for thier work but it was all too WRONG!
The fact is he gets away without paying child support because he is diabled, yet he works and makes good money and still doens't send a dime! And he has the nerve to think I'm gonna buy school pictures and send him some...yah right!
I consider this one THE WORLDS BIGGEST DEAD BEAT!

I'd report him to social security, or whoever the appropriate people are, and try and get him investigated. If they find out what he's doing, he could lose his benefits.
I too know of someone who deals in scrap metal in order to work, yet still receive benefits. He "does business" under his wife's name in an effort to hide.
Also, the work those boys were doing sounds dangerous for 7 and 9. Like you said, at least they got a reward for it, but they could have gotten hurt. I'd cause as many problems as I could.
