Last week i purchased a uniform top from a Scrub Hub store in Murfreesboro, TN. I wore the top and then washed it to find it has shrunk 2 sizes smaller than the size stated on the label.

I attempted to return the item to the store only to be told I must have the purchase sale slip which I did not. Who saves a sales slip after the item has been worn and washed?

The store manager treated me very rude and was so demeaning. He then said he would call the manufacturing company and call me back. He did return my call and oh so fast only to say "NO, the manufacturing company will not give me my money back, so I will not allow you to exchange the item nor will I reimburse you the money, we don't like Dicky clothing anyway because they have the s***iess, poor quality clothing uniforms, next time have your sales slips and we'll see what we can do." He snickerd and his tone of voice was really ugly.

I have bought Dicky clothing before and never had a problem with any of the items.I thought this just may be a bad one this time.

I will never shop at the M'Boro Scrub Hub again and will let all my nurse friends and peers know about this incident with the Kidd family and how they treat the public customers.

The Kidd family must be hurting for sales/money and they could care less about their relationship and reputation with customers. I do not doubt this occurrence and kind of behavior was the first for these managers of the Scrub Hub. They need to take learning course in customer service.

Why should you hold onto your receipt? For precisely this type of situation. Most stores, especially privately-owned ones, REQUIRE a receipt for returns and exchanges. In other words, NO RECEIPT - NO RETURN. It is unfortunate that you threw away your receipt, but that is your problem - not theirs.

If the product is truly defective, then why not contact the manufacturer directly and see if THEY will replace it for you?

Also, READ the care label when laundering your clothing. Many scrub tops, including Dickies, are now made of 100% cotton. If you dry it in the dryer, it WILL shrink. That is NOT a defect, but rather carelessness on your part, and not a valid reason for returning the item for a refund or exchange.
