12. Poor Landscaping. My building has areas for mulch that now only contain dirt and various forms of debris -- including garbage. We've also got bamboo wires hanging down from broken lights. Begging the immediate question, "Where are you putting our money?" You raise our dues, and still the property looks horrible. And in regards to the repairs your "oversaw" on the roof, the pool still leaks after a $2000 assessment, and yet, the dues were still increased. Not to mention shoddy furniture in the lobby, a callbox that doesn't work, broken exercise equipment, etc. I mean, really, where is our money going? Because it's certainly not being spent on those things. FYI: this is how a building becomes a slum. And by the looks of things, Sea Breeze is doing a very good job posing as a slum lord.
13. Morals. Be glad if you're a security vendor that you do not work at my building, because you'd no longer have a job. After, of course, you were blatantly used to help cheat on a board election. Then, you'd be subjected to a nasty rumor that you and a tenant were having an "affair" and you'd be terminated, and even worse: end up living in a seedy gym similar to ours. Or, like another professional who told everyone in the industry how he crossed his T's and dotted his I's to keep his job as our Property Manager, only to get canned nonetheless, after a board member decided he didn't like him and told the owner of Sea Breeze to fire him, or they'd lose the account. And that only scratches the surface of this cheap and tawdry little tale. And trust me, these are all facts!
Bottom Line:
Take a pass! Nothing is overstated or made up as a joke. I understand why someone said they sold because they couldn't get outta here fast enough. Our building board and management team should be ashamed to cause such distress and ruin to peoples' lives with their disgusting behavior. Instead of giving hard working homeowners what they deserve, and what they've paid for. They should quit covering it up and being thieves, and get some dignity. It's a madhouse! To be avoided at all costs.
